Background [ ] Before Own Eurovision Song Contest [ ] On 13 February 2017, IBA confirmed Israel's participation for the forty-seventh edition of the Own Eurovision Song Contest and announced that Rising Star 45th contest . The contest, which was hosted by Israeli-Canadian actor Sasha Roiz, took place on 13 March 2017, while the results were presented weeks later.
