Israel will participate in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 47 in Russia . Their entry will be selected through a national selection, organised by the Israeli broadcaster Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA).

Before Own Eurovision Song Contest [ ]
On 13 February 2017, IBA confirmed Israel's participation for the forty-seventh edition of the Own Eurovision Song Contest and announced that Rising Star would return as the selection format for the country after last being used for the 45th contest . The contest, which was hosted by Israeli-Canadian actor Sasha Roiz, took place on 13 March 2017, while the results were presented weeks later.
